How can YOU SAVE tax money by donating to The Legacy?

 

Here are five ways you can save taxes by donating money to The Legacy, Front Range Square Dance Center, Inc.!  Your tax preparer can help you look at the options and decide what is best for your situation, and help you navigate the paperwork.

  1. If you itemize deductions you can take a charitable deduction for the amount of your donation.

 

  1. If you are 72 ½  or older you may have a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) to take each year. You can give money (up to $100,000.00 a year) from your IRA directly to a qualified charity without having to pay income taxes on the money.

 

  1. If you are 59 ½ you can take a distribution from your IRA and make a gift to a qualified charity from your IRA without penalty. The Legacy is a qualified (501 (c)(3) tax exempt organization.

 

  1. You can name The Legacy, Front Range Square Dance Center, Inc. in your estate planning. No matter your age, you can designate The Legacy, Front Range Square Dance Center, Inc. as the beneficiary of all or any percentage of your IRA and it will pass tax free as your legacy to the community.

 

  1. Employer matching funds are often available to employees for 501 (c) (3) organizations. Inquire to learn if your employer will make a matching contribution to The Legacy, and what requirements they have for you to apply and qualify.
